Lithofacies/microfacies analysis of the Lower Cretaceous Lumshiwal Formation across the Kala Chitta Range (Choi, Chapra, Surg, Dherikot, Burjianwala Laman, Togowala, Dourdad). Eight microfacies (glauconitic sandstone, mudstone, bioclastic wackestone–packstone, grainstone, floatstone) record shallow-marine to outer-shelf carbonate deposition with intermittent subaerial exposure; gradational lower contact with the Chichali Formation and unconformable upper contact (Kawagarh in the north, Lockhart in the south). Thickest ~61.5 m at Dourdad, thinning west to ~8 m at Chapra (wedge-on-wedge with the Chichali Formation). Age Lower Cretaceous on ammonite + palynological control.
This page is the reverse of each unit's per-field citations — it shows exactly what this reference supports, making the dataset's “no source, no fact” rule browsable both ways.

- Depositional environment: Lithofacies/microfacies analysis in the Kala Chitta Range (Qureshi et al., 2006): eight microfacies — glauconitic sandstone, lime mudstone, bioclastic wackestone–packstone, grainstone and floatstone — record shallow-marine to outer-shelf carbonate deposition with intermittent subaerial exposure and condensation; the lower contact with the Chichali Formation is gradational and the upper contact unconformable (Kawagarh Formation in the northern, Lockhart Limestone in the southern Kala Chitta). The formation thins westward (~61.5 m at Dourdad to ~8 m at Chapra) in a wedge-on-wedge relationship with the Chichali Formation; Lower Cretaceous age on ammonite and palynological control.
