GSP field abstract. Khanozai-Torkhula (Muslim Bagh) ophiolite chromite; Tungi-Ahmadun syncline (Urak Fm, Pliocene: Uzdapasha/Shinmati/Urak-conglomerate members); Pishin flysch (Nisai Eocene, Murgha Faqirzai Oligocene, Shaigalu Miocene); Allozai (Triassic), Loralai (Jurassic), Sember/Bibai/Parh (Cretaceous), Dungan (Paleocene).
This page is the reverse of each unit's per-field citations — it shows exactly what this reference supports, making the dataset's “no source, no fact” rule browsable both ways.

- Age: Usage varies in the Zhob–Pishin area: the GSP Karezat abstract (Waliullah et al.) applies the name at formation rank — 'Allozai Formation', a Triassic limestone/shale locally intruded by ophiolitic ultramafics (Khanozai–Torkhula segment) — implying the group may extend into the Triassic, whereas the curated record (after USGS OFR 94-689; Kazmi & Jan 1997) treats the Alozai Group as Lower–Middle Jurassic (Spingwar + Loralai formations). Recorded as an alternative; the curated Jurassic scope is retained.

- Geological significance: Yaseen et al. (2019) and Waliullah et al. (GSP): the Muslim Bagh–Zhob ophiolite forms the base of the Pishin–Katawaz sedimentary succession — a Neo-Tethyan remnant obducted onto the western passive margin of the Indian plate in the Late Cretaceous, unconformably overlain by the Eocene Nisai Formation. Its podiform chromite is actively mined around Khanozai and Muslim Bagh (Karezat quadrangle), where it makes up roughly a third of the Khanozai–Torkhula ophiolite segment.

- Member units: Waliullah et al. (GSP): three members — Uzdapasha, Shinmati and Urak Conglomerate — exposed in the Tungi Syncline (Karezat quadrangle); in thrust contact with the Allozai (Triassic) to the north and Parh/Bibai (Cretaceous) to the south, and with the Loralai, Sembar, Bibai and Dungan formations to the east.
