Structural/tectono-stratigraphic study of the Kurram and North Waziristan agencies, NW Indian-plate margin. Maps three tectonic domains (Nappe Domain of Jurassic-Cretaceous Kurram Group melange; allochthonous Orakzai/Samana-Sangroba Indian-plate margin; autochthonous Kohat Basin). Summarises the Waziristan/Spinghar basement as Precambrian Makai Limestone and Sikaram Slate, Silurian-Devonian Spin Ghar (Spinghar) Quartzite, and a Permo-Carboniferous Spinghar crystalline complex, thrust eastward over unmetamorphosed Mesozoic-Cenozoic cover.
This page is the reverse of each unit's per-field citations — it shows exactly what this reference supports, making the dataset's “no source, no fact” rule browsable both ways.

- Age: Age disputed: Rehman et al. (2022) map the Makai Limestone as a Precambrian unit of the thrust basement, conflicting with the tentative Cretaceous assignment of Badshah et al. (2000). Retained as Cretaceous (tentative) after the type-area describer; the Precambrian alternative is flagged as an unresolved divergence.

- Age: Age remains unsettled: Rehman et al. (2022) assign a Precambrian age to the Sikaram Slate in the thrust basement, diverging from the Siluro-Devonian-to-Triassic correlation of Badshah et al. (2000). The value here retains the type-area correlation; the Precambrian alternative is recorded pending resolution.
- Age
- Age: Silurian-Devonian age independently corroborated by Rehman et al. (2022), who map the Spin Ghar (Spinghar) Quartzite as a Silurian-Devonian unit of the thrust basement in the Kurram-North Waziristan region.
