Integrated magnetic, VES and Induced-Polarization/resistivity survey with major/trace-element geochemistry to prospect metallic minerals in the mafic-ultramafic Bela Ophiolitic Complex (BOC). A positive high-magnetic anomaly (A2; residual 310-550 nT, IP 3.5-15.1 mV/V) over the ultramafic sequence is interpreted and geochemically confirmed as manganese mineralization (36.5% Mn in rock samples; ~48,400 ppm in stream sediment). A second, negative anomaly (A1) is an alluvium-covered, clay-bearing shear zone with no sulfide mineralization. Euler deconvolution places the promising zones at ~100 m depth; cross-sections show mineralization concentrated within the anticlinal, NW-thrust BOC over Late Tertiary melange. Open access (CC BY).
This page is the reverse of each unit's per-field citations — it shows exactly what this reference supports, making the dataset's “no source, no fact” rule browsable both ways.

- Economic importance: Rashid et al. (2022), integrated magnetic + Induced-Polarization/resistivity + geochemical survey of the Bela Ophiolitic Complex: a high-magnetic anomaly (A2; residual 310-550 nT, IP 3.5-15.1 mV/V) over the ultramafic sequence is interpreted and geochemically confirmed as manganese mineralization (36.5% Mn in rock samples; ~48,400 ppm in stream sediment), at ~100 m depth within the anticlinal, NW-thrust complex. A separate negative anomaly (A1) is a barren, alluvium-covered shear zone. Quantifies the belt's manganese mineralization noted in the curated economic summary.
