Diagenesis and microfacies of the Nisai Formation at the Nisai-Murgha Faqirzai Rud section (1027 m). Eight microfacies (bioclastic rudstone/floatstone/grainstone/packstone/wackestone/mudstone, intraclastic and pelloidal grainstone) with abundant larger benthic foraminifera; open-marine shallow (inner-outer) shelf; age extends into the Upper Eocene (Nummulites perforatus). Rests on ophiolitic melange; unconformable below the Murgha Faqirzai (Oligocene).
This page is the reverse of each unit's per-field citations — it shows exactly what this reference supports, making the dataset's “no source, no fact” rule browsable both ways.

- Age: Age estimates range from Late Palaeocene–Early Oligocene (Qayyum 1997: Assilina dandotica, Discocyclina ranikotensis, Miscellanea stampi; Nummulites atacicus, Assilina granulosa; N. fichteli) through Early–Middle Eocene (Allemann 1979) to Upper Eocene at the Nisai–Murgha Faqirzai Rud section (Nizami et al. 2008, on Nummulites perforatus). Deposited on a shallow-water carbonate platform passing into deep-water slope/basin turbidites (Qayyum 1997); eight bioclastic microfacies rich in larger benthic foraminifera (Nizami et al. 2008).
