Reviewer-supplied. Magnetostratigraphy of nine Siwalik sections in the Bhittani, Marwat and Khasor Ranges (Trans-Indus), calibrating the Middle-Upper Siwalik chronology and constraining the timing of Neogene folding/tectonics of the Trans-Indus.
This page is the reverse of each unit's per-field citations — it shows exactly what this reference supports, making the dataset's “no source, no fact” rule browsable both ways.

- Age: Nomenclature (Khan et al. 1988; Javed Khan & Opdyke 1981): Hemphill & Kidwai (1973) proposed extending the name 'Chinji Formation' to the Trans-Indus (Bhittani–Marwat–Khasor) red-bed unit (the Kargocha Formation of Morris 1938 / Munthe 1981), but both magnetostratigraphic studies reject this — the Trans-Indus Kargocha is Plio-Pleistocene (magnetostratigraphically ~3.2 Ma and younger), not the middle–late Miocene of the Chinji type section on the Potwar Plateau, and cannot be physically traced between the two areas. The curated Miocene age of the Chinji type section is unaffected.

- Age: Nomenclature (Khan et al. 1988): Hemphill & Kidwai (1973) proposed extending 'Nagri Formation' to the Trans-Indus channel-sandstone unit (the Marwat Formation), but Khan et al. reject the correlation — the Trans-Indus Marwat is medial-to-late Pliocene and younger (Gauss chron and above), not the late-Miocene Nagri type section. The curated age of the Nagri type section is unaffected.
