Foundational petrology/geochemistry of the Jijal Complex: a tectonic wedge of garnet granulites (northern part) intruded to the south by a 10x4 km ultramafic slab (diopsidites, dunites, peridotites, harzburgites; olivine Fo92-89). Granulites divisible into plagioclase-bearing (basic-intermediate) and plagioclase-free (ultrabasic-basic) types, with garnetites, hornblende-rocks, garnet pyroxenites and epidote-rich rocks.
This page is the reverse of each unit's per-field citations — it shows exactly what this reference supports, making the dataset's “no source, no fact” rule browsable both ways.

- Lithology: Jan & Howie (1981): the Jijal Complex is a tectonic wedge of garnet granulites in the north intruded to the south by a ~10x4 km ultramafic slab (diopsidites with subordinate dunites, peridotites and harzburgites; olivine Fo92-89). The granulites divide into plagioclase-bearing (basic-intermediate) and plagioclase-free (ultrabasic-basic) types, with garnetites, hornblende-rocks and garnet pyroxenites. The foundational mineralogical/geochemical description of the complex.
