Field note on the Hazara Slate Formation around Nathiagali: flysch-type geosynclinal turbidites (argillites, silty shales, siltstones, subgreywackes) >10,000 ft thick with a thick psammite forming Miranjani Peak; describes the Langrial and Miranjani algal (oncolitic/stromatolitic) limestone bands within the slates, overlain with apparent paraconformity by the Toarcian Maira Formation (Bouleiceras cf. nitescens).
