Sandstone petrography of the Dhok Pathan Formation at Kalabagh and Mangla: subfeldspathic lithic arenites/lithic wackes and calcareous mudstones derived from a rising provenance of acid-to-intermediate volcanics, cherty limestones (with subordinate quartzite/shale/sandstone) and low-grade metamorphics (slate, phyllite, greenschist), with minor granite. Notes that the Soan Formation comprises the Tatrot and Pinjor.
