Magnetostratigraphy of the Siwalik Group in the Dhok Pathan type area from 204 palaeomagnetic sites; the Nagri Formation there spans 10.0-8.6 Ma, with Ramapithecus and other hominoid primates in Epoch 9 at about 9 Ma. Basis (with Tauxe 1979) for the Middle Siwalik age framework extended by Johnson et al. (1982).
