A formation of the Nowshera/Peshawar Paleozoic area.
The Tilgram Formation comprises high-grade metamorphic rocks. In the Mangora-Daggar area it is structurally overlain, across a major Main Central Thrust (MCT), by the Girarai formation (named by Chaudhry et al. 1992 for calc schist, graphitic schist and intercalated thin marble horizons, with its upper contact against the Tursak formation).
